Alternate Forms

There are some special instances where there are races, spells, and classes that will allow your character to change their shape. Below is a helpful reference to those alternate forms. Please reference the Approved Avatar section for ideas on alternate form avatars.

Lycanthropes:

There are three forms a lycan can take aside for their humanoid form. A lupine (quad) form, a war form, and a hybrid form. This excludes Lythari, which only have a wolf form and an elf form.

Dragons:

Dragons have a half shift and a humanoid form in addition to their true forms. Please review the Approved Avatars section for more information.

Fey:

Fey have the inherent ability to create illusions on themselves and on their surroundings, however while their glamours are stronger in the Fey Wilds, upon leaving the Wilds for another realm, the glamour will fade over time unless renewed. Glamour will act as illusions in that they will appear one way but they will not be functional. For example, a fey could glamour themselves with a set of wings, but they will not be able to fly with them.

Mer/Lamia:

Merfolk and Lamia have the ability to appear with a pair of humanoid legs. These legs will look, feel and function normally and they can make them appear and disappear at will.

*Please keep in mind when using these full form dragons and werewolves that they are considered monstrous, and therefore in no need for anything such as a head of hair, clothes, weaponry or anything they would have in their human or hybrid forms.

Other alternate forms:

Polymorph:

This spell will change your appearance. It is not permanent, unless the permanency spell is casted along with polymorph. However, you will still have the appearance and physical feel of another being.

Illusionary:

Much like the fey glamour, this is only for looks. Picture it like putting on a costume, it is only temporary but you will appear as another being.

Classes:

There are some classes who have alternate forms such as druids and their animal form. They will be treated akin to a polymorph with the exception of being an ability rather than a spell.

*When making a hybrid form, please try to make your character as realistic looking as possible. If you are unsure if your avatar is acceptable or not, please IM any admin and it will be looked at for you.

TWI Wolf/Fox/Lion *Note: Lycans are the size of normal wild animals in feral form, lythari are much larger, and can use the Dire/Big size mod for TWI Wolf.

Half-Shift wolf Form examples:

Jomo Wolf/Fox/Leopard/Lion/tiger

Dreamcrawler Wolf/Bear/Lion (Can use larger forms as a war form)

Humanoids with tails/ears/legs/fur are also acceptable.

Bespoke: Lion

Avatars That Are NOT Allowed:

Stylized, cartoony, and anime avatars are not allowed (Utilizator, kemono, and similar products as well as MLP avatars). We do not allow furries, but detailed/realistic styles such as JOMO or Bespoke are acceptable.
