Rental Rules

Whether you rent or not, please respect the homes of others just like in real life. Get permission before entering, and always ask OOCly before touching or taking things ICly.

Upon paying a rent box for a room or a house, you agree to the following rules:

1. These are rentals intended for roleplay. You must have (or intend to have) a roleplay character at Tarinfell to rent.

2. One rental per player, including alts.

 

3. Your prim limit is your prim limit. Do not go over it, there are no prim extensions.  You and your tenant (if you have one) will share one prim count, you can not use your prim to decorate another person's rental.

 

4. Make sure all items you rez are within the theme of the sim. All items must remain in the home, or on the deck or patio of the home. Adult furnishings are alright so long as they are used as adults, indoors. Staff-rezzed furnishings for your rental are available by request.

 

5. No chat spammers, chat listeners, tip jars, or scanners. Lighting and sounds should be kept within the space of your rental. You may be asked to replace specific items by staff if they negatively effect sim performance (i.e. Too many scripts or image memory usage). Floating text to warn of traps or enchantments is allowed.

 

6. Rentals may only be exchanged for another rental or put on hold for a later time.

7. No refunds. Payments are final.

 

8. Staff reserves the right to return any or all of your belongings at any point for breaking any of the above rules. Therefore, please bear that in mind when you rez gacha items or items that are otherwise no-copy. If you go over your prim limit, you will receive one warning before staff returns a few things to bring you within your limit.

 

9. If your time runs out, the rental box will allow another player to rent your home, in which case staff will have to return your items.
